In honor of Earth Day, I am redoubling my efforts to convince Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to revoke the incredibly damaging Endangered Species Act regulations passed by President Bush in the final days of his presidency which gut protections for polar bears and other species. On the campaign trail, President Obama pledged to revoke the regulations, and Congress granted Interior Secretary Salazar special authority that runs only through May 9th to do so with the stroke of a pen. Please ask Secretary Salazar to save the Endangered Species Act by signing the online petition at www.savethepolarbear.org.

wow, kind of surprising that Nixon (a republican!) was responsible for so much great eco-friendly legislation. Times have changed I guess.
