Kose Cosmetics is one of the top Japanese cosmetics lines and for those in the know, Japanese women take their skincare very seriously especially with regards to moisturizers and skin creams to hydrate the delicate facial skin.  And their Awake line of cosmetics was launched in 1997 at the Henri Bendel store in New York City, establishing its U.S. customer base.

And so, I received a sample of Kose Awake Cream via Meg from Meg’s Makeup, and was very excited as I love trying out various moisturizers and lotions, especially ones with fancy ingredients that make lots of exciting promises.  And so, after my nightly cleansing and toning ritual, I tried the Awake Sign revolution cream under my eyes and the sides of my face which are the driest.

After awaking the next morning, my skin felt softer and more glowy and basically as if your face was drinking water the entire night. The cream has Glycine, Yeast Energy Extract, and Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 which says that it “plumps the skin, boost resilience from the inside, and protects the skin from external stress factors.”

It is quite pricey though, about $125 for.7 ounces, so this is not your everyday splurge.  But if you do have an inkling for an expensive eye cream, this one is one to beat.
