Continuing the trend of cheap eats this week, Baskin Robbins will be offering $.31 cent scoops of ice cream today. Celebrating there 3rd annual $.31 cent ice cream promotion, Baskin Robbins looks to jump start sales in our current struggling economy. Some might say Ben & Jerry’s took there idea even further last week by offering free ice cream to everone.
I’ve always been a Baskin Robbins lover and will be first in line at the nearest store after work. I recommend Pralines and Cream or Mint Chocolate Chip, those are my two favorites.
I think it’s pretty cool that more and more companies are participating in cheap eats days. I remember when McDonald’s had there $.29 cent hamburgers and $.39 cent cheeseburgers back in the day. Although unhealthy, it was the perfect late night meal at such a ridiculously low price. I wonder if these random giveaways actually drive future revenue to these fast food companies. Any thoughts?

I was reading recently that they’ve been used to great success so far (a reason they’re so popular I guess). I don’t know, hopefully they continue on, nothing better than cheap (or free!) eats
I love Mint Chocolate chip!
