Mel Gibson, the hugely successful actor/director/producer recently divorced his longtime wife of 30 years, Robyn Moore, and it became known that the two had actually separated three years ago.
He recently stepped out publicly with his new Russian girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, a singer who is signed to his Icon Records. They made their public debut on the red carpet for the premiere of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” starring Hugh Jackman which is another action film that looks to do big business at the box office.
It is noted that he doesn’t make many public appearances but he was seen smiling, comfortable and enjoying himself. Gibson is best known for his roles in films such as “Braveheart,” “The Lethal Weapon” series, and of course the controversial but incredibly profitable, “The Passion of the Christ,” which starred Jim Caveziel.
His ex-wife will be receiving half of his almost $1 billion fortune and has cited “irreconcilable differences,” for why she is seeking a divorce from Gibson. Gibson and Moore have seven children together ranging in age of 9 years old to 28 years old.
The couple released this statement two weeks ago after news of their divorce became public, “Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so.”
