In the market for a wheelchair for you or a loved one?  Since a wheelchair can be an expensive purchase, it is important to do some research before you start shopping.  Here are some things to ask yourself before you start shopping:1. How often will the wheelchair be used?  Daily or only occasionally?

2. Where will the wheelchair be stored?  Does it need to be able to fold?

3. What types of accessories (headphone jacks, cup holders) will the user want?

4. Will the wheelchair be covered by insurance?

5. Motorized versus electric versus standard?

6. What can you afford to spend on the wheelchair?

7. Will the wheelchair need to work with a specific type of lift?
