Carrie Prejean’s New Controversial Pictures

Carrie Prejean, better known as Miss California and a Miss USA Runner Up, recently gained notoriety when asked her thoughts on gay marriage at the Miss USA pageant by celebrity-blogger Perez Hilton. Her conservative, Christian answer resulted in a public controversy as pundits and commentators on both the right and the left debated the merits of that reply.

The story has since retained it’s controversy as news that the organization behind Miss California USA were responsible for funding her new boob job. And now there is news of racy pictures of Prejean appearing throughout the internet.

The new pictures — released by TheDirty.com earlier today — feature the pageant contestant topless with only a pair of pink underwear providing cover. Critics point to the hypocritical nature of her scandalous pictures and recent boob job in light of her Christian answer on gay marriage, but Prejean-supporters see the picture release as little more than a hit-job from the left.

Here’s Prejean on the matter:

“I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently photos taken of me as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith. I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be. But these attacks on me and others who speak in defense of traditional marriage are intolerant and offensive. While we may not agree on every issue, we should show respect for others’ opinions and not try to silence them through vicious and mean-spirited attacks.”
