America is the land of diets and there are reality TV shows, books, magazines, and videos about dieting and the quest to achieve that perfect figure.  Well, the latest diet craze seems to be the lack of dieting at all.  Elle UK reports on this No Diet diet by Esther Blum, a top New York nutritionist who says that you should eat what you want as long as you eat in moderate portions and also add in enough veggies.

Considering that most diets consist of restrictive measures and guidelines that restrict entire food groups or extol lots of bars, pills and powders, this one is actually refreshing.  And it is based on common sense.  On the No-Diet diet, you can eat chocolate, eggs, starches, cheese, avocado, and breads.

Celebrity fans of this diet include Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives) and Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City).  The best part of this diet is that it makes sense.  If you are allowed to eat the foods that are tasty and that you enjoy, you will probably not binge.  Instead, you’re more likely to eat a moderate portion, enjoy the taste, and then move on with your life.

Next thing you know, you’ll be needing a new pair of jeans.

so the No Diet Diet claims you don't have to do anything, but in the same breath mentions you need to eat healthy (veggies) and with proper portions? sounds like every other diet.
