
Ah.. Monday morning after Mother’s Day. You may still be stuffed from rich entrees and sweet desserts after taking your Mother or Grandmother out to a nice dinner to celebrate. Well, if you’d like to have another pastry or other non-diet worthy food, you have a bit of leeway because today, May 11th, is National Eat What You Want Day.
Yup, you heard that right. Today’s the day where you can basically eat whatever you want because some random people got together and decided that today’s the day where you can forget about the calorie counting, carbs, fat grams, and if you’ve eaten your “Point,” allotment for the day.
Granted, you shouldn’t take this opportunity to stuff yourselves silly to the point where you can’t walk, but just let yourself have something that you wouldn’t normally have. It is Monday, so you have the entire week ahead of you to be healthy, therefore if you are faced with a delicious looking pastry or are in the mood for a burger at lunch, go for it.
If someone raises an eyebrow at you, you can just say, “Whatever. It’s National Eat What You Want Day.” And then go about your business.
