The daughter of the late Mafia boss John Gotti, Victoria Gotti, is best known for her tanned skin, surgically enhanced features and even had her own reality show, “Growing Up Gotti,” where she showed the world how this wealthy Mom raised her three sons; Carmine, John, and Frank.
Well, the New York Daily News reports that she owes $650,000 to JP Morgan Chase for her Long Island mansion that was featured on the aforementioned reality show.
Gotti said that her ex-husband Carmine Agnello was the one who took a $856,000 loan against the home, and that she had no knowledge of this transaction. Agnello pleaded guilty to racketeering in 2004 which was the same year that Gotti became the owner of the mansion.
The judges at the Brooklyn Appellate Division have granted the lender’s motion for summary judgment on the foreclosure and the appointment of a referee to report whether the six-acre property can be sold in one parcel.”
It looks like the Recession is affecting even those who until recently seemingly had bottomless bank accounts such as Ms. Victoria Gotti. Gotti says, “I won a house that was a booby prize riddled with debt.”
Well, at least now she has something in common with those Americans that are facing this exact same difficult issue of foreclosure.
