The one upside to this Recession is the plethora of free items that seem to be popping up everywhere. Actually, to be honest, its fabulous. The latest Fast food company to give away free items is Arby’s, best known for their roast beef sandwiches, popcorn chicken, and curly fries. This summer, Arbys is promoting “Freebie Wednesdays,” where each Wednesday throughout the summer, you can take advantage of deals from Roastburgers to Orange Cream Swirl Shakes.
Today, May 13th, is the first day of this discount extravaganza, and you do need to purchase a soft drink, but you’ll also be receiving a free Roastburger which are made from oven-roasted slices of roast beef. You can get the All-American Roastburger, Bacon and blue cheese Roastburger, or the Bacon and Cheddar Roastburger.
This promotion ends on August 26th, but I’m guessing it’ll be the kind of summertime relief that Americans will be grateful for. Arby’s has been in business since July 1964 where they’ve been serving their signature roast beef sandwiches to meat lovers all across America.

The promo actually started last Wednesday with the giving away of FruiTea.
Although last week you just had to say a phrase to get one.
The wednesday deals require at most participating locations that you print out an email that you received as a Arby’s Extras email newsletter subscriber.

5/13 – Free RoastBurger w/ Soft Drink Purchase
5/20 – Free Chocolate Malt Swirl Shake w/ Sandwich Purchase
5/27 – Free Roast Beef Sandwich w/ Soft Drink Purchase
The email says “join us all summer long” for these deals, so I bet there will be more.
However, you can still get a RoastBurger for FREE by texting ROASTBURGER to 27297 (Arbys) You will get a txt coupon in reply.

well, yeah, jessica, it isn’t as “Free” as El Pollo Loco’s chicken giveaway (they even took KFCs ‘free’ coupon on mothers day) Check out ARBYS.com for a store locator.
For everyone else…I did go to my local ARBY’s today and they had signs ALL over the place about Wednesday Freebies! When I walked up to the register, the cashier even told me about it before I could order, so I am guessing that even tho’ the email and ad said coupon needed it wasn’t needed ‘at participating locations.’
They also had the flyer there for the month AND a big flyer (4 page) with a BUNCH of coupons in it.
On the back of that flyer it says to txt TEA to 27297 (ARBYS) for a txt coupon for a free FruiTea with any (full price) sandwich purchase.
Oh and for something completely free (well other than your time)… on the back of most (but not all) ARBY’S receipts is a survey invite… call or visit the website listed, complete the survey and on most of them they say “FREE Regular Roast Beef or Beef ‘n Cheddar” without any other purchase required (cannot be cobined with other offers discount etc…)

I went by yesterday and the Arby’s I went to said there was no such deal and refused me.

I checked their website and its only for Participating Arby’s restaurants. Sadly
I just spoke to a Manager there and since that Arby’s is a franchise the communications don’t arrive timely. He was apologetic and offered me a sandwich just by coming by and I do not have to buy a drink to get it. He said they will be offerring going forward and he is going to the website to check it out. I gave him the offerrings for the next two weeks.

I suggest signing up the for Arby’s Extra email list as they do send out promotions via email often and usually have the address of your local Arbys that is participating in the footer.
