The search engine mammoth Google, experienced problems early this morning that left search engines stalled and Gmail users out of luck. What has already been titled “The Day Google Earth Stood Still” by twitterers and geeks everywhere, has surprised the web community. You would think a company like Google would have back-up plan after back-up plan for these types of mishaps. This is the first time in recent memory that the biggest website in the world left its users in total disarray. But mistakes do happen and nobody, nor company is perfect.
The conspiracy theorist in me believes that this may have been a ploy by the Microsoft team in there never ending pursuit of search engine dominance. But these claims are unverified and highly unlikely. Hopefully Google will redeem its users by giving away free Android phones. That should clear everything up.
Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is. I’ve been on Google all morning and everything works just fine. But I still want that free Android phone.
