New York-based actress Cynthia Nixon is best known for her role as Miranda Hobbes in the popular HBO Series and Film, “Sex and the City.“ Nixon is also a respected theater actress with numerous credits to her name including a Tony Award for “The Rabbit Hole.” But it was her role as the demanding but loyal lawyer Miranda in SATC is what raised her public profile and brought her fame amongst over-worked single women everywhere.
Nixon divorced her then husband, Danny Moze in 2004 with whom she has two children. Shortly thereafter, she began dating Christine Marinoni and they’ve been an item ever since.
At a rally this past Sunday supporting same-sex marriage, Nixon announced her engagement to Marinoni saying, “It’s time already.“ Also in attendance were Actress Kristin Davis, Gov. David A Paterson and Mayor Michael Bloomberg along with thousands of demonstrators who were rallying in support of equal rights.
