Usually you grab an uber-caffeinated Red Bull drink when you’re looking for a quick energy boost and slightly metallic carbonated taste, Bull usually does the trick. I’m used to being around a bunch of web guys who would down Red bulls as though they were the last beverage on Earth alongside chips, lunchmeats, and of course 5 energy shots. Does it wake you up? Usually. Is it good for you? Uh….
Well, the Associated Press reports that six German states have told their retailers to stop selling Red Bull Cola energy drinks after traces of cocaine were found in them. 0.4 micrograms per liter in the drink, to be exact.
Red Bull refuted the claims stating, “The cola is harmless and marketable in both the U.S. and Europe,” citing that coca leaf extracts are widely used across the world.
Germany’s Federal Institute for Risk Assessment says that the cocaine level was too low to pose a health risk, but does this make regular Red Bull drinkers a little worried to the point of not getting their energy boost for the day?
Well, Red Bull DOES say that “It gives you wings.” Hopefully its the legal kind.

wasn’t there rumors about coca cola having coke in it too? or am I remembering wrong? anyway, not too surprising, but pretty bad all the same.
Yes Amanda
They did used to put Cocaine in Coca Cola back when Coca Cola was first coming out and they changed the recipe in the 80′s
