Mike Tyson’s Daughter Exodus Tyson Dies

In some tragic news turned even worse, four-year-old Exodus Tyson — the daughter of former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson — passed away this morning at a nearby hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Exodus had been brought to the hospital the day before after suffering a deadly choking accident. Sources report that the young girl’s seven-year-old brother initially discovered Exodus yesterday morning hanging from her neck by a treadmill cable. Apparently the treadmill cable was shaped in a loop and Exodus must have slipped while her head was in the cable and then been unable to get out.

After yesterday’s “tragic accident” Exodus was rushed to the hospital where she was put on life support. Unfortunately the worst came to pass and she passed away at 11:45 a.m.

The Tyson family spoke on the passing of their daughter today in a statement that said, “We are grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from all over the world” and that “there are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus.” They go on to ask for others to respect their needs at this time and for privacy as the family tries to grieve their daughter’s death.

  1. Wow, how sad. R.I.P. Exodus.

  2. It’s a terrible tragedy to lose a child in such a way. And what’s worse is for a young child to find his only sibling in that state. Where were the parents as this baby was roaming around the house? And how did the baby get over to the treadmill by herself? She looks too small to even crawl that far from her crib, where she was suppose to be, or even in a play pen. So I wonder, and I’m not making any judgmental decisions, but a seven year old is big enough to do so much. Even take a child out of a crib or playpen. There have been case, unsolved by these sort of deaths. Little Jon Benet was one. No one ever looked at her older brother. The one that lived in the house. To look at this boy, you could see something in his eyes about his sister and all the attention she was receiving. It’s not something new that siblings will do something so terrible. In fact many have done it in the Royal houses. Just a thought to think about.

  3. Three questions to think about.

1.Who was supposed to be watching the baby?

    2. Why was the son, a 7 yr old, the one who found her, and did he have anything to do
with it, sometimes things happen. A child that age has no concept of death and may
have been playing around with the baby and the cable, not realizing the baby was in
    trouble.

    3. Where were the parents?

When cases such as these come around I always think of the Jon Benet unsolved case. There was another person in the house other than the parents and the boy was whisked away before anyone could question him. I had seen photos of the boy, and he didn’t seem like a child who was happy with a sister such as Jon Benet. In fact, there are cases when a child such as she has a brother, the boy will do things to her to show he has power over her no matter what. No one ever talks about those sort of abuses between siblings. You only hear about the father doing it to the child or a cousin, Uncle and such, but never a brother at that age. I feel sorry for Mr. Tyson and his family, he alone has been thru so much in his life and now this. I hope the family gets thru these terrible times and stay together to help one another deal. Good luck to the family, blessed be.
