So by now you have realized I am not a hairless woman, I wish I was but, I am indeed not. To be honest with everybody, while I am a HUGE product junkie and fashion addict, I do consider myself a tad bit of a hippie. But, only when it comes to certain things and, unfortunately for the men, shaving my legs is one of those hippie like traits I’ve acquired and never let go of. Thanks UC Santa Cruz!! Anyways, unfortunately for myself I live in the San Fernando Valley and the summers are in the hundreds and totally unbearable unless your in the water or inside with air conditioning. This basically forces me into shaving, waxing or trying some other gimmick out there. However, this time I have totally stumbled across a product that totally works! Smooth Away!!
Smooth Away claims to be:
” a pad covered with superfine crystals that buff away unwanted hair, leaving your skin so soft and incredibly smooth. Works great on sensitive areas and also exfoliates as it removes the unwanted hair, leaving skin soft and smooth.”
To be honest it looked a little like sandpaper and I was totally hesitant to use this product since, I previously purchased something similar and it literally took my skin off like sandpaper would! However, this product is amazing! It takes a little bit of getting used to and be careful not to press to hard but…the results are really great! I usually have to wait weeks in between my waxing appointments and that can be really ridiculous and bothersome! Avoiding beaches, pools and shorts for weeks, especially when it is so hot outside but, now that I have these smooth away pads I can easily remove unwanted hair from a noticeable area.
I highly recommended everybody try these!

I purchased these after looking up mixed reviews, and found that they work well for fine hair, but not coarse. AKA, don't bother trying to use them on your armpits or bikini area. I really only use them for my upper lip, but it was worth the 14.99 or 9.99 (I can't remember) at Bed Bath and Beyond. Another tip: if you have sensitive skin, rubbing aloe gel on the area after your done helps tone down inflamation.
