Haven’t we suffered enough in this floundering economy?
Apparently, the people behind Crocs don’t think so. Despite suffering huge losses in the first quarter of this year, the company is determined to ride out this financial storm and carry on providing poor soles with the most atrocious footwear ever created. I was firmly anti-Crocs from the beginning. So, don’t blame me for the perseverance of this fad. Maybe I’m a fashion snob, but the idea of wearing rainbow-colored rubber shoes with holes in them seems like torture for anyone over the age of three.
Come to think of it, I did once wear rubber shoes. They were called Jellies and it was the 1980’s. Enough said. Yet, the company’s new CEO, John Duerden, is adamant about reassuring Croc fans that their beloved shoes will continue to be available for years to come. Darn!
But, my fellow haters can also take comfort in Duerden’s comments. For example, Crocs’ massive market infection will be scaled back. Hopefully, that means they will get rid of the Crocs stand parked out front of Anthropologie at the Grove. What a misplaced eyesore.
And there will be NO Crocs apparel. Can I get an amen?! I give these shoes a few more years before they go the way of Hammer pants.
At which time we can all rejoice!

I dunno Kendra…you ever try them on? Pretty comfortable. Gotta wear around the house if nothing else.
Yes, you can get an amen! AMEN!!!
Well said, girl! Those things are so ugly and shouldn’t be worn by anyone outside.
My feelings exactly! They are pretty attrocious, but I’m okay when my 2yr old wears them! hah.
I’ll wear these next time I go craw-fshing
I’d rather wear the old school Jellys …. not so much the crocs… I find myself making faces at people that wear them… it’s like a fanny pack for me…. no thanks…. unless it’s yard sale day
I actually thought that more people were gardening than usual when i first saw them. Then they never stopped. I was confused; hoards of people wearing ugly rubber clogs with holes in them. Still to this day i see them all the time. Will it ever stop?
