LAND OF THE LOST

land-of-the-lost-1

You’d better be prepared for some unrealistic stuff in this one, friends. No, I’m not talking about the giant mosquitoes or dinosaurs. Will Ferrell plays a SCIENTIST! Ridic. After being humiliated by his nemesis Matt Lauer of the Today Show (okay, that’s funny), Ferrell uses a device to travel through time (wow! Innovative!) with British scientist Holly (played by Anna Friel). Cue mosquitoes and dinosaurs. I think that’s pretty much the whole movie.

THE HANGOVER

I’ve never been so excited about a hangover before…probably because instead of the dehydration and regret, this hangover involves my Office fave Ed Helms, minus the goofy acapella songs. He joins up with Bradley Cooper (better known as Rachel McAdams’ douchey fiancé in Wedding Crashers) and Zak Galifanakis (bearded guy with long Greek name) on a crazy bachelor adventure in Vegas. When they wake up after their night of debauchery, the guys can’t find the groom – and they can’t remember what happened. I’d tell you more, but you know the saying.

MY LIFE IN RUINS

Woot: Nia Vardalos (of My Big Fat Greek Wedding) is back in another Greeky romantic comedy. She plays Georgia, a Greek American tour guide who shows frustrating American tourists around the old country. When she meets Irv (Richard Dreyfuss), they discover a magical fraternity house that turns water from the aqueducts into Coors Light, and – okay, I’m kidding. I think they probably fall in love!

  1. Hang on. She falls in love with Richard Dreyfuss? Isn’t he like… 70?

They should retitle this The Dreyfuss Affair. Hmmm, nevermind. No one likes a historical joke.

  2. How cute is that baby in the “Hangover” pic?

  3. Is Bradley Cooper really best known for his role in Wedding Crashers? I guess he’s one of those people who isn’t best known for any one thing in particular, especially lately. I still think of him as that other dude from Alias. But I’m hoping by next week he’ll be “Bradley Cooper of The Hangover”, cause I am pumped about that movie.

  4. Levi Preston says:

“This hangover involves my Office fave Ed Helms, minus the goofy acapella songs”.

Don’t be so sure. Also, enjoy the credits (best part of the movie), therein lies the reward. Cryptic enough?
