Celebrate National Donut Day!
We like to promote a healthy lifestyle here at Twirlit, but that doesn’t mean that you have to deprive yourself of life’s simple pleasures — such as a warm glazed donut or maybe a chocolate frosted one — once in a while. And according to Mr. Breakfast, these “oily cakes,” were created by the Dutch who took these sweet dough balls and fried them in pork fat. Yum.
