		<description>if you&#039;re keeping a mental time line anyway - especially if that time line is a deal breaker - then, yes. tell him. not communicating that is just going to cause trouble and heartbreak. but if it&#039;s not a deal breaker, then..uh, no sweat. just wait it out.

either way you should be talking about it. as nice as the &#039;romance&#039; and &#039;mystery&#039; aspects may seem, in this day and age, there shouldn&#039;t be any big surprises. marriage is important. it should be talked about and discussed. 

in my experience surprise proposals lead to surprises in the marriage. ugly surprises.
