When you’re a superstar designer, it’s easy to forget the little people. Or, at least, the people with little bank accounts. But, not Marc Jacobs. His new Jacobs by Marc Jacobs line of super-inexpensive merchandise is in stores now. And I am giddy with pride and excitement!

Mr. Jacob’s (I use the mister as a sign of respect) has been one of my favorite designers for years. Against my better judgment, I charged my first pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs pumps a few years back on a trip to Boston. Sorry, mom!

Sometimes, the desire to own a piece of clothing or an accessory from your favorite designer outweighs the debt and consequences of making that purchase. With his new line of merchandise., Mr. Jacob’s has nearly eliminated any negative repercussions for girls and guys who simply can’t live without a little piece of M.J. Items from the new collection include things like heart-shaped pins, swim caps, bangles, tote bags and bathing suits.

Now, I know from experience that most Marc by Marc stores have long carried similar trinkets. It’s no secret, really. I was once given a Marc Jacobs condom for my brithday (thanks, Jillie and Biz). But, this new line offers fans an even wider selection of goodies at prices everyone can afford.

L.A. guys and gals can hop on over to the Marc by Marc Jacobs store on Melrose and browse the selection. You can check out all the items on the Marc Jacobs website. But, they are only available for sale in stores.

Apparently, not even a close friendship with Victoria Beckham could freeze the heart of this generous designer. Yes, I know he’s still turning a buck off this little venture, but I am loving it. Bestill my heart, Mr. Jacobs, you are the best.  (Give me a break, I’m in love with the man’s clothes.)

Funny story, Ms. Kendra! I can almost see you making a wish list in your head already for the stuff you want from Mr. Jacobs' new collection.

I'm glad Marc decided to make an inexpensive line. I love his items! I recently purchased a scarf from his line and I love it! And to see this stuff just made me create a wish list! I'm going to his store this weekend and picking up a few items! I just hope they have everything in stock! Cannot wait!!!
