Digital TV has finally arrived, kicking out those old analog signals for good. Today, local and national broadcasters will cut off all their analog signals and permanently switch to digital programming. This basically means that if you have one of those TV’s that never came with a remote, you should probably think about getting a new one.
Rest in peace to the rabbit ear antennas and those trusty unscramblers. Welcome in a new age of digital converter boxes and bad satellite connections. Although, many of you have had digital cable for the past few years now, there are still senior citizens, low income families and people like me who are too broke to buy cable.
I refuse to pay companies like Comcast and Time Warner cable $80 a month for hundreds of channels I never watch. Instead, I just use my trusty AT&T broadband internet to give me all the shows I wanna watch and news from around the world. It’s only a matter of time before all programming goes viral and I’ll definitely be ready when that happens.
