I guess we will no longer have to wait until tonight to learn what big announcement Jon and Kate have for us!! According to People magazine, Jon and Kate Gosselin have now officially filed divorce papers.

While the news of them divorcing really isn’t totally unexpected it is still sad to learn.

According to a source close to the situation:

“Documents to initiate a legal split were filed at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown, Penn., Monday afternoon.”

I personally hoped that somehow the two of them would work their shit out, however, during the last couple of episodes, the amount of distaste they have for one another really showed, and it is probably better not to raise children around that type of relationship.

I just hope the kids are able to grow up in a functional household, especially now that it will most likely will be split up. Plus all of that media attention that is sure to follow … whether it is wanted or unwanted.
