Farrah Fawcett, the ’70s bombshell that introduced us to Charlie’s Angels, was read her last rites last night at a Los Angeles area hospital. The 62-year-old Fawcett is currently in the Intensive Care Unit where a friends and family have gathered holding a vigil. Insiders say that Farrah, who entered the hospital last week, had been doing better and thought she would be released shortly.

Fawcett’s three-year battle with cancer has been well publicized and a constant struggle for the legendary actress. 20/20 will be airing a special on Fawcett and her battle against Cancer tonight. A couple of weeks ago, a documentary on her battle with cancer was aired on NBC, titled “Farrah’s Story.”

Ryan O’Neal, Farrah’s boyfriend, still has high hopes to marry Farrah once she’s all better “Farrah is fighting for her life. But we will wed as soon as she can say yes. Maybe we can just nod her head.”

UPDATE: Only a few short hours ago Farrah Fawcett passed away at the age of 62.

I loved you Farrah. God Speed.

…”Bye, bye Miss American Pie. Drove my Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry. Them good ol’ boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye, singing this will be the day that I die.” This was the one day that I’ll cry.

I feel awful that such a pretty, accomplished person such as Farrah would have to be stricken down by that awful disease. I feel even worse that she had to die because of this. I think Ryan is a jerk. I know he was there for her in the last years of her life, but that man is a pig. He treated his children and still does like garbage. Why would he treat a woman any different? I’m sad about her and even sadder he’s probably trying to get at her estate.
