Bonnaroo Style is Free Spirited

The Bonnaroo music and arts festival is like a Never Never Land for music loving lost boys and girls of the modern age. This year’s fest was no different as celebrities, musicians and regular Joes frolicked among the Tennessee countryside like bohemian nymphs (in wellies, naturally).

I crown Drew Barrymore queen of the Bonnaroo sprites! It’s as if she’s aging backwards, a la Benjamin Button. With shimmery face paint and a feather in her hair she looked all of 19 years old. Feathers were certainly everywhere, along with florals and fringe. Rompers, wide-brimmed hats and all things vintage could be found at the festival. It was as if Janis Joplin’s ghost was roaming freely through the crowds.

While it’s pretty obvious that many of the images present at the festival were carefully crafted by the wearers of the clothes, the free spirits are easy to spot. Joy Bryant looked perfectly content in a white tank and jean shorts and Pat Sansone, of the band Wilco, was simply excited about his Polaroid camera and not his clothes.

Next year, I am so there. It is my personal goal to make it to the Bonnaroo festival, let my hair down and allow my fashion spirit to run free. Peace, love and happiness to all!
