Fore more than ten years now Jason Mecier has been inspired by pop culture and… well whatever materials that were readily available to him! Jason creates insane three dimensional mosaic portraits of his favorite icons made out of junk! Really! Bubble Gum, Macaroni, Animal Crackers (I’m getting hungry) and not so edible pieces like sunglasses, deodorant, shoes and tons of items that the celeb icons themselves have donated.

As a child Jason’s grandmother encouraged him to create masterpieces using whatever he could find

“I learned from her that I can make art out of anything I want to, and that there are no rules,” says Jason.

Participants include Rosie O’Donnell, Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Farrah Fawcett, Nancy Sinatra, Pink and Sharon Stone to name a few. Jason is still waiting to hear from Oprah, Marilyn Manson, Dolly Parton, Hugh Hefner, Judge Judy and Snoop Dogg.
