Janet Jackson At The 2009 BET Awards (VIDEO)
In what may have been the most heartfelt appearances on live TV this year, Janet Jackson thanked all the fans for their support of her brother at the 2009 BET Awards. She also showed how much her brother meant to the family by saying, “We all miss him so much.” Only days after Michael Jackson’s passing, BET decided to scrap their original award show theme and tailor the night’s events for the “King of Pop.”
With tributes from artists like Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx, the award show revolved around Jackson’s passing and his influence on music everywhere. In the closing moments, Jamie Foxx walked an emotional Janet Jackson onstage, where she spoke publicly for the first time since MJ’s passing.
The speech was short and touching and one that meant millions to Jackson fans everywhere. Also, in attendance throughout the show was Michael’s father, Joe Jackson. Before the show, the elder Jackson was interviewed by Access Hollywood and had this to say about his son’s passing, “I wish he could have been here to enjoy all of this.”

WOW…I WAS ASTONISHED TO SEE HER SHOW UP…HOW HARD IT MUST HAVE BEEN….
WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR BROTHER WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS..
TO US…
HE WAS FAMILY TOO

That’s a longer version with the pictures and the ‘i’ll be there’ performance. This had me in some serious tears. I still cannot believe it.
There’s only one legitimate place I’ve found to watch the replay, the rest seem like scams :-/ You can see it over here though: http://freeonlinemovies.us/watch28015.html
They make you do a little survey but after that it’s good to go

Thank you Jackson Family for sharing all the gifts that your entire family has given the world…I for one loved Michael dearly and rocked his songs all the time. On a personal note, my grandmother (96) passed 4/08, while driving to PA from NJ she passed, we were listening to MJ the entire drive, my son said should I cut the music off as my niece was destraught I told him no just turn it down. Granny loved MJ and would sit up on the coach and watch him singing and dancing in her own way. So I say we also have fond memories of him and it’s so hard to believe he is gone. I AM STILL IN SHOCK….Janet thank you for speaking on BET that took a lot of strength and God certainly has given that to you. I for one and I know his fans appreciated seeing you. We know our family is in pain, take comfort in knowing he is with GOD and you all will be reunited one day….I love you MJ…..Peace be with the JACKSON FAMILY…Sincerely, Theresa S. Newark NJ
Michael was a not just a Icon to most he was as well a family member. My family is deeply saddened and grief stricken. It feels like we have lost a family member. I can’t imagine life without him. But the show (life) must go on.
I hope that he is a boy now and he does not ever have to grow up. We miss you Peter Pan
Now you can fly, you can fly
As my sister says it can only get better from here. My heart and prayers go out to his family. We love and miss you MJ
Always and forever me and my sister your # 1 FANS
Maybe the Grammys or World Music Awards will be able to give an appropriate salute to the King of Pop. The BET actually looked as if it were thrown together and it probably was. The acts were awful and I felt embarrassed. You had these clowns on the stage with their pants falling down saying they grew up on MJ’s music. Then why in the HECK didn’t they know the words? Jamie Foxx was a complete a– and a waste. There was NO CLASS ON that stage last night honoring MJ. Only when his sister took stage did some sort of class appear. BET what was the problem? Did you not have a producer on hand? MJ was a perfectionist, not a hooligan.
Please report any obscenity and offensive material that you may have seen on the BET award show.
For instance, Jamie Foxx’s countless sexual references, Lil Wayne singing a sexual song with his adolescent children on stage with him, Beyonce wearing basically nothing while singing a religious song, a plethora a cuss words that were edited for the re-broadcast.
