Did Wes go on ‘The Bachelorette’ with a Girlfriend?

Guys are supposed to have a code when it comes to girls. Not on “The Bachelorette” though.

Drama abounded on Monday’s episode of the ABC show when one of the bachelors traveled to another’s hometown to tell Jillian (that’s “The Bachelorette”) that the guy she was with had a girlfriend. But was he telling the truth or just being vindictive?

Here’s how it went down.

So Jillian Harris, who became “The Bachelorette” when she was famously dumped on “The Bachelor,” was visiting the hometown’s of some of her remaining suitors. The last one was a guy named Wes, who took her to meet his band because chicks dig guys in bands. Lo and behold one of the other bachelors, Jake (who was eliminated the week prior), shows up and basically tells Jillian that he and Wes have discussed that Wes has a girlfriend and her name is Laurel.

When Jillian confronted Wes on the point he denied it. And when she met his family they sort of denied it too, saying things like “That’s ridiculous.” (All of this is told in more detail in a very funny recap at Zap2It)

There was then crying by Jake for telling on a friend, Jillian for dealing with all the information and probably the viewer for watching this stuff. We kid, we kid.

At the final rose ceremony, while all of America prayed that Jillian would kick Wes off, she didn’t, instead opting to not give roses to Michael and Jesse.

Wes the cheater remained, but so too did the question, does he actually have a girlfriend?
