The Craziness Surrounding Michael Jackson’s kids

Okay, now this is getting really messed up.

Monday, Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine was awarded temporary custody over Michael’s three kids, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael II. Well, Us Weekly is reporting Tuesday that Michael wasn’t the biological father of any of the kids. That role, in fact, went to Michael’s dermatologist, Arnold Klein, who was also the boss of the kids’ mother, Debbie Rowe.

But wait, there’s more.

TMZ is also reporting that Michael never even legally adopted the kids.

So what does this all mean? Nobody knows for sure. We do know that in the past few days, most of us have remembered Michael Jackson for his positive influences on popular culture. TV has played his videos non-stop, radio has played his music on loop and all of his albums are selling like crazy on iTunes. The reason these things have become so popular is that’s how we the public choose to remember Michael – for all the positive and amazing things he did.

With news like this coming out, though, we might be forced to deal with what many of us have ignored. In the past few decades, Jackson was a disturbed man. He underwent several plastic surgeries, was marred in numerous ugly legal battles and was seen in public doing very questionable things. And that’s just the tip of the amusement park, monkey playing iceberg.

Hopefully, all of this nonsense will be taken care of soon. The kids obviously haven’t had the easiest upbringing so maybe things will settle down and we can stop being forced to remember the negative and go back to remembering Michael Jackson how we choose to.
