One angel was largely overshadowed by the King of Pop last week and that was Farrah Fawcett.

The iconic actress, best known for her role on “Charlie’s Angels” and as one of the most famous pinup models of the 1970s, passed away on the same day as Michael Jackson and got her name unjustly ripped from the headlines.

She is back in the headlines Wednesday, though, as the Internet is swarming with photos from the private funeral held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Various photos, seen here and at The Los Angeles Times and Zap2It, show a classy, beautiful affair. Among the stars that showed up were her longtime boyfriend Ryan O’Neal, her co-stars on the TV show “Charlie’s Angels” Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd, comedian Garry Shandling, Jackie and Joan Collins, fellow model Cheryl Tiegs, “Ghostbuster” Ernie Hudson and Fawcett’s ex-Lee Majors.

Her son Redmond, in jail on drug charges, was granted temporary released for the day to attend the event. All in all about 200 people showed up to the event.

The program showed Fawcett in all her glory: flowing blond hair, blinding smile and sequent dress. Inside was the poem “At That Hour” by James Joyce.

For those who knew her, it seemed like Tuesday was a fitting and refined affair.
