Whether you think he’s a genius or a fraud or somewhere in between, there’s no denying the popularity and public curiosity that surrounds psychic medium John Edward. (Not John Edwards the Democratic Presidential candidate, though he surely inspires much of the same sentiment in people).

You know this John Edward. He’s the one who asks audience members questions about their long lost relatives and slowly begins to make sometimes surprising connections between the two as if he is communicating with the dead.

Now, for anyone who is not able to go to one of Edward’s taping, he’s launched a new Web site called Infinite Quest.

On the site, Edward has recruited astrologists, numerologists, physics and more to give Internet users as close an experience to his live show as possible.

There are also sections explaining and offering interactive experiences on the afterlife, energy, tarot cards, health and reincarnation. It offers both a free and pay membership to surf.

Recently on Fox News’s “Hannity” show, Edward talked about why this new site is so important to him.

I’ve been doing this work for 25 years. And I’ve been involved with astrology, numerology, you know, energy, alternative belief philosophy, reincarnation. And I want to give people the opportunity to say maybe,” he said.

ABC’s The View and Whoopi Goldberg should be ashamed for uncritically promoting the outright lies of these charlatans. They should be ashamed for being used by psychic charlatans for their propaganda purposes. On the subject of tarot cards, they are distorting and stereotyping the culture of other people. We know where tarot cards come from. We know they originate in Italy. We know they have nothing to do with the Gypsies. We know they were made for no other purpose than for playing a type of card game! We know that Tarot games are played today in many countries. We know that Sandy Anastasi is one big liar! ABC is guilty of irresponsible journalism.

The View’s Psychic show today was a travesty. Medium John Edward, hypnotist Brian Weiss and tarot reader Sandy Anastasi
could not have looked worse. Hosts Joy Behar and Sherry Shepherd were unforgivably insulting and rude, but the guests should have known better than to expect an open attitude on such a hostile show. No doubt they will regret this appearance for years to come.

All through the ages, those who think or act differently from the masses have been ridiculed, persecuted and murdered. Very sad that people are so afraid of what they don’t understand or condemn activities that they know little or nothing about, usually just repeating what has been told to them

Although I cannot vouch for any psychic or medium that I do not personally know, I can say without reservation that psychic ability is real and if used with integrity and honesty, is a wonderful tool to help others in this difficult existence. I associate with many in this work who are completely sincere in their desire to do good. There are always those people who will attempt to perpetrate scams on the public in any profession. It is not the fault of the profession that this occurs, but the fault of those who misuse it.
