Eminem to Appear with Adam Sandler in ‘Funny People’

Seven years have passes since Eminem wowed audiences with his performance in the semi-autobiographical film “8 Mile.” He’ll get a chance to do that again later this month as he’ll cameo in the new film “Funny People.”

MTV Movies Blog revealed the news, as well as a photo, of Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers along side Adam Sandler in the upcoming comedy from writer and director Judd Apatow.

Scheduled for release on July 31, the film is about a popular comedian (Sandler) who finds out he is going to die but is then cured. He consiquently struggles with how to deal with a second shot a life. It also stars Seth Rogen, Eric Bana, Leslie Mann, Jonah Hill and Jason Schwartzman among others.

No word on what specifically Eminem will be doing in the film but he will be playing himself. Apatow also had this to say about directing him, “I was scared to pitch jokes to him then I realized his songs are as nasty as anything that has ever been spoken. There is no way to offend him.”

The Detroit rapper is currently still promoting his album “Relapse,” which debuted at number one on the U.S. album charts this past May.
