In the hours before over one billion people world wide watch the public memorial for the late, great Michael Jackson, the family had their own plans of how to deal with the tragedy.
Late Monday night, family members including his sister LaToya, brother Randy and daughter Paris, held a private and small vigil at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, where Jackson will ultimately be laid to rest, according to The Times.

Then around 8 a.m. P.S.T. Tuesday morning, according to the Associated Press, a motorcade left Michael’s parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson’s, house headed back to Forest Lawn. The Los Angeles Police Department shut down roads and lead the cars there in a motorcade. Everyone was then seen walking into the cemetery where media was respectful and stayed out in lieu of the big event.
From there the family along with Michael’s body (originally rumored to not be in attendance) will go to Staples Center for the huge public memorial. No real details have been released about the event other than a list of A-List Celebrities and Jackson friends who will be in attendance and possibly performing. It’ll be broadcast all over the Internet, television and even in almost 100 movie theaters nationwide.
