Sorry Jim, Pam is Taken! ‘The Office’s’ Jenna Fischer Engaged

Wait, we thought she was engaged to Jim? Not so fast, “Office” fans. Everyone’s favorite Dunder Mifflin receptionist turned saleswoman Pam Beesly, played by Jenna Fischer, got engaged last week.
The lucky guy? Not John Krasinski, unfortunately, though we would all really love that. (He, in fact, is reportedly dating fellow actress Emily Blunt as recently as late last year). No, Fischer’s finance is screenwriter Lee Kirk whom she has been dating for about a year and a half. This will be Fischer’s second marriage. She was with filmmaker James Gunn from 2000-2007.
Kirk proposed when the duo were on vacation in Europe on June 30, according to People.
Fischer has been acting since 2001 in small parts but she truly got her break when she was cast in NBC’s remake of the British TV show “The Office.” The original show is one of the most critically acclaimed of all time and many were skeptical about the U.S. remake. Thanks to actors like Fischer though, “The Office” quickly gained its own voice and became a huge hit. In the show she plays Pam, the receptionist at Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, PA. There she’s the object of many men’s affections, especially office wiseguy Jim (Krasinski). The courting lasts several seasons before they finally got together.
On the season finale of the most recent season, it seemed as if Pam was pregnant. We’re sure Lee Kirk took notice.
