Two’s a company and three’s a crowd. Way more than that is also a crowd, especially if you are drinking.

Actress Joyce DeWitt, 60, who is best known for her role along side John Ritter and Susanne Somers on the television show “Three’s Company” was booked for drunk driving in Southern California on Saturday afternoon, according to the Associated Press.

DeWitt was driving near El Segundo when she ran into a standard DWI checkpoint. There, an officer found her actions suspicious, ran her through some sobriety tests and then brought her in. She was booked, cited and then released pending further action. On Tuesday, images of her mugshot were released.

“Three’s Company” ran from 1976 to 1984 and made massive stars of all the actors involved. During the run of the show, DeWitt appeared on “The Love Boat” and in the film “Airplane 2″ but she never gained the kind of notoriety of the show’s other stars. She has remained pretty much off the grid for the better part of two decades, making the occasional appearance on a TV awards show. However, she has kept a pretty regular diet of stage and charity work, though, according to her official Web site.

On that site, you can also request an autographed photo. Which, we admit, is kind of funny.
