THE BLUE LAGOON (1980)

Brooke Shields was only 15 when she played the mostly-nude Emmeline, who washed ashore with Richard (Christopher Atkins) after a shipwreck. The two grow up together alone on the gorgeous island, ultimately discovering each other’s hot, tan bods.
FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL (2008)

It’s not your typical beach movie, but I love me some Jason Segel and Kristen Bell. When Kristen dumps Jason, he drags his broken heart to a beautiful beach resort, only to run into her and her new English rocker beau Aldous (the hilarious Russell Brand). It’s not so bad; Mila Kunia stars as the local who helps him realize that Sarah Marshall is indeed forgettable.
BLUE CRUSH (2002)

Admit it, this movie was so totally better than you expected it to be. Tough surfer chick Kate Bosworth is focused on her upcoming competition – until she meets hot football player Matt Tollman. Hence the blue…and the crush.
POINT BREAK (1991)

Patrick Swayze with amazing beachy blond hair. Keanu Reeves as an FBI agent. Gary Busey – enough said. Bank robbers masquerading as surfers. Are you convinced yet? This goofy flick is so bad it’s amazing.
SAVED BY THE BELL: HAWAIIAN STYLE (1992)

Oh yes I did. Technically this was a TV movie – but you can actually buy it on DVD as a double feature with Saved By The Bell: Las Vegas. Yes please! When Kelly Kapowski’s grandpa invites the Bayside gang to his hotel The Hideaway in Hawaii, little do they know they’ll run into Mr. Belding AND have to save the place from an evil capitalist who wants to turn it into an apartment complex!

lol, Blue Crush. I agree though, fun movie
“Point Break” was co-written by James Cameron (http://www.ldsfilm.com/movies/PointBreak.html) and John August says it is a good example to study (http://johnaugust.com/archives/2009/leftover-questions).
