Cow Appreciation Day

Cow Appreciation Day, the only day of the year in which we appreciate the animal we abuse the most. Actually it’s more of a gimmick for the fast food establishment Chick-Fil-A. Today they will be giving away free combo meals to anyone who dresses up like a cow.

It will be interesting to see if anyone actually participates in this promotion. I don’t think a cow suit is very cheap and I’m positive a combo meal cost less. In case you’re like me and not creative when it comes to costume creation, Chick-Fil-A offers a starter kit PDF that gives you ideas on how to make your own cow suit.

The reason Chick-Fil-A celebrates Cow Appreciation Day is due to the fact that they encourage customers to eat more chicken instead of cows. It seems a bit hypocritical though, offering one animal while killing another. But hey, we all know the fast food business is a cutthroat industry…literally.
