Justin Timberlake Is One of Three Finalists to be a Superhero

From “Saturday Night Live” to “Alpha Dog” to even a piece of garbage like “The Love Guru”, pop icon and female favorite Justin Timberlake has been flexing his acting chops for several years now. He just hasn’t yet found a role that suits him just right.
Ironically, that role might involve him donning a suit that’s tight.
Timberlake, the former ‘N Sync lead man and current Jessica Biel boy-toy, is one of the final three actors being considered to play the lead role in “Green Lantern”, a new superhero movies from DC Comics and Warner Brothers Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Also up for the role are Bradley Cooper (of “The Hangover” and “Wedding Crashers”) and Ryan Reynolds (”The Proposal,” “Just Friends”).
The “Green Lantern” is based on a comic book of the same name about a man named Hal Jordan who is chosen by an alien race to possess a special ring that can control the physical world. In the world of comics, he’s a very popular character – probably on a tier just below the Batmans, Supermans and Spidermans of the comic world.
According to the article, Warner Brothers wants to open the movie in December 2010, which for a huge special effects movie, isn’t a lot of time. So definitely expect to hear if Timberlake gets the part or not this week.
In our opinion, Bradley Cooper is probably going to get the role. He just had a hit movie, Ryan Reynolds is already signed to play another comic book character, “Deadpool”, and Timberlake doesn’t have the physical statue to be a convincing bad-ass. Only time will tell, though.

wasn’t this the film that Gondry was filming and was supposed to feature Seth Rogan – of all people – in the lead role? or was that a different green superhero?
