Ryan Seacrest, the blond haired, happy go lucky host of FOX’s “American Idol” has just signed a new contract that will keep him on the show for at least three more years. Want to know how much he’ll be making? We’ll tell you, right after the break.
Actually, unlike Seacrest, we have no reason to tease you. Reuters reports that Seacrest will be making $45 million dollars for the next three years. Which, of course, is a ton of money. In fact – it’s three times what he made in previous years.
That number will be in addition to all of the other things Seacrest does. He hosts a syndicated radio show called “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” that originates on 102.7 KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, he also is an on air personality for E! Entertainment Television, hosting news shows and live broadcasts, and also produces several reality shows including “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
Add that to his constant Twittering, and Seacrest is definitely one of the busiest men in entertainment today.
According to the Reuters story, the deal is believed to be the most lucrative ever for a reality show host and will officially be announced Monday. And once Seacrest is locked up, they can now go to work on signing the ever more difficult “American Idol” judges including Simon Cowell, who could reportedly get $144 Million.
So maybe $45 for Seacrest isn’t that bad at all.
