What Would You Do If You Were Erin Andrews of ESPN?

Erin Andrews

You’ve worked your whole life to establish your career in a world where testosterone flows freely and men regularly grunt in your direction because you’re a chick.  You’re changing in your hotel room to get ready for a work event.  Then several hours later, there is a video of you walking around naked in your hotel room…all over the Internet.  Welcome to the current reality of ESPN Sports reporter, Erin Andrews, who found herself in the middle of a media frenzy when it was found that an unknown intruder created a peephole in her hotel room and took video footage, without her knowledge or consent.

Andrews and her lawyers are working with the authorities to catch the persons who committed this act, but let’s be real, when you put something on the Internet, it never fully gets erased.

The sad thing about this whole situation is that she’s a well-respected sports journalist who knew her stats and also had the respect and attention of many viewers.  Now, it’s almost as though her years of work covering sports events, doing interviews with high-profile athletes will all boil down to the Peephole video.

That’s unfair.  And sad.
