Courtney Love’s Clothing Line is Really Happening
There’s been speculation for some time now about whether or not Courtney Love is actually coming out with her own clothing line. I think I’d heard whispers here and there, but up until now, nothing was confirmed. That is, until one of Love’s pals got on Twitter and confirmed the rumors. Which were later officially confirmed by a rep for singer/actress.
Aside from her music and tumultuous relationship with Kurt Cobain, Love is probably best known for being one of the biggest hot messes in Hollywood. Sure, she cleaned up her act for a while. Who can forget Love’s fashion about-face at the 1997 Oscars? Jaws around the world dropped.
But, should we trust her enough to dress the public? My answer is: no! My answer has less to do with Love’s own fashion pitfalls and more to do with the long history of failed celeb clothing lines. They just never seem to work out. Needless to say, there’s always a question as to how much involvement the celebrity actually has in the whole process….aside from stamping his or her name on the final product. It all just seems like a sham.
At the very least, it will be interesting to see what the clothes look like. It has all the allure of any other Courtney Love adventure. You never quite know what’s she’s going to do. Who she’s going to flash. What she’s going to say. What she’s going to wear.
And that’s half the fun!
