Solange Knowles, the younger sister of Beyonce, has never quite made the same impression on America’s pop landscape as her older and more successful sister, but it isn’t for lack of effort. Or talent either. In fact, an R&B singer herself, Solange has put out two albums one of which, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams – which came out just last year – is actually really good. A combination of fun and funky Motown with urban and some times disco-y beats as well as a slew of stylish and colorful videos, she’s done quite well for herself. However, she’s still always been in her sister’s shadow.
With that in mind, a recent interview had her saying, “I get asked about Beyonce all the time but I try and make fun of it. Sometimes I say she’s not my sister. Other times I say I’ve stuffed her in my suitcase and sent it to Dubai. I have to have fun with it or I’ll turn into Britney – shave my head and go totally crazy.”
Well, folks. It appears Solange has gone crazy. And not crazy in love either (sorry!). New pictures of the young singer, model and clothing designer show her with a shaved head. Which, is to say, she turned Britney. A stylish Britney though. While Spears just looked kind of weird and alien like with her makeover, Solange is able to pull it off with sass and finesse. In the eyes of this blogger, at least, not a bad look. Disagree? Let me know in the comments. I’m ready to argue!

i believe her hairstyle is fine, lots of black women do and pull it off, if i were her, i wudn’t cut it THAT low, but it still looks good on her… her head isn’t as big as britney’s of course, and i know she’s not crazy or insane

I think Solange looks sexy with the teenie weenie afro! This is a neat and alluring look on black women. Most women of any persuasion are copycats and boring, this makes her stand apart in a positive, confident way unlike britney. i hear she was actually completely bald-headed 2 weeks before this pic. I bet she was just as sexy then too. This bald look on women (e.g. Amber Rose) is really starting to gain momentum and I LIKES it!
