Fruit2O has been around for a while, and is the original fruit flavored water. Fruit2O has now come out with a new product, Fruit2O Essentials, that not only gives us the sweet taste of fruit, but some of the fruit’s fiber and nutrients as well.
Fruit2O Essentials is zero calorie fortified water that comes in many flavors- each flavor providing a unique blend of vitamins and minerals found in 2 servings of fruit.
Cranberry Raspberry- Zinc, Vitamin E Potassium Manganese
Strawberry Kiwi- Vitamin E, Phosphorus,Vitamin B6, Manganese
Peach Mango-Vitamin E ,Phosphorus,Vitamin B6, Manganese, Vitamin B5
Citrus- Phosphorus, Potassium,Vitamin B6, Vitamin B5
Blueberry Pomegranate- Vitamin E, Phosphorus, Potassium, Vitamin B6,Manganese
Cherry Acai- Phosphorus, Vitamin B6, Manganese, Vitamin B5
They contain no sugar, and no juice- just water and nutrients. What I like about these waters is they aren’t carbonated, so they don’t give you that bloated, bubbly feeling, and they have a sweet, but not-too-sweet flavor: not watered down like some other popular flavored waters on the market (you know who you are.)
Since scientists are too busy battling cancer and global warming to spent time developing the research to provide us girls with low calorie alcohol, we much rely on our mix-ins in our drink to keep the calorie total low. Diet soda is usually the zero calorie mixer of choice, but we all know that’s like drinking battery acid (don’t get me wrong, I love my battery acid) and the carbonation can leave you feeling bloated and gassy: not fun when you are on a night out. Next time, use zero calorie Fruit2O Essentials to fruit up and slim down your cocktails.
Fruit2Tini- 70 calories
Makes 1 serving
4 ounces of Fruit2O Essentials Peach Mango (or try Strawberry Kiwi or Citrus)
1 1/2 ounces vodka
Splash of pineapple juice
Splash of lime juice
Splash of orange juice
Muddled cucumber
1. Shake ingredients together vigorously
2. Pour over ice into a rocks glass
Of course you should always get your nutrients from whole foods, so these won’t replace eating real fruit, but you have to drink water anyway, so why not drink some that not only tastes great, but provides you with a few extra nutrients as well?
