Octomom Reality Show In Production

Since the birth of Nadya Suleman‘s octuplets, rumors have swirled about the controversial mom of fourteen shopping a reality show. Some sources even hinted that the Octomom may have carried and birthed the eight babies solely for the purpose of having her brood reach “Jon and Kate Plus Eight” level fame.
Well, that dream, or nightmare, as the case may be, could soon becoming reality. Production has started on a show starring the Octomom, the octuplets and their six older siblings. The show is being produced by the British company, Eyeworks, and will likely be aired in the U.K. initially. Should an American network buy the rights, the show could make it’s way over here, making it the worst British TV import since Benny Hill.
In the meantime, a California judge has appointed a temporary guardian to oversee the children’s estate and a hearing will be held at the end of August to determine if a permanent guardian should govern their estimated $250,000 paycheck for the show.
While I’ve never met a reality show I didn’t like, Joe Millionaire aside, this is one sad story I won’t be tuning in for. Now throw in Jon Gosselin, and I’m there.
