When voyeuristic footage of you walking around a hotel room naked runs rampant on the Internet and causes an international news story, one has to expect a new level of notoriety.
That’s what happened to Erin Andrews this past week as she called 911 about a group of suspicious people outside of her Georgia home, according to TMZ.
For those who might not remember, Erin Andrews was the subject of a big scandal a few weeks ago when the ESPN reporter was videotaped naked through a peephole at her hotel. The video made it online and became a viral sensation, much at the behest of Andrews, who did everything in her power to have it removed.
“Um, I was in the news recently about being in a hotel naked, and I have paparazzi outside my window, and I was told by law enforcement that if I did to call 911,” is how she started the 911 call earlier this week.
She later said, “I did nothing wrong, and I’m being treated like f****ng Britney Spears, and it sucks. I’m sorry.”
While Andrews was obviously embarrassed by the entire fiasco, it certainly made her more famous. And with fame comes paparazzi. Sure they shouldn’t have broke into her gated community, but they left without incident.
Listen to the whole 911 call here thanks to TMZ. And read the whole transcript over at Deadspin.

ugh - why is this story even being covered anymore? you know why paparazzi climb fences and harass innocent people like this? because bloggers like you will write about it / post their pics / etc. this journalist did nothing wrong, but rather was the victim of a peeping tom, and no one can give her the decency to leave her alone. it's disgusting
