Nothing goes with a Prada hamburger better than a Ralph Lauren cocktail. Okay, so the designer hamburger may never happen, but the designer cocktail is here!
Recently, Local 138, a bar on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, added three designer drinks to their summer menu. Along with Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch and Marc Jacobs all designed specialty cocktails for the bar. Like their clothes, each designers’ cocktail is good enough to eat (er, drink).
I wish I could move to New York for the summer and spend my nights sipping Tory Tikki Tinis and Ralph Rasberry Rum Punches with the trendy Lower East Side crowd. And I would certainly come decked out in Marc Jacobs when I go drinking a Marc Mint Martini. How about we get some fancy cocktails here in Los Angeles!
What a fun idea for the summer! I’m sure this is bringing fashionistas out of the woodwork in New York. And thus, increasing the crowds of drunk fashionistas stumbling onto the streets at 2a.m. Yikes, that could be dangerous. High heels plus lots of alcohol leads to a lot of broken ankles and scrapped knees. Hmmm….maybe this idea should be reconsidered. Nah!
After all, it’s all in the name of fashion. And drinking. Let summer begin!
