Ryan O’Neal Admits Hitting on His Daughter Tatum at Farrah Fawcett’s Funeral

Call it an honest mistake, but call it creepy on so many levels.

Ryan O’Neal, the long time beau of the late beauty Farrah Fawcett, recently admitted to Vanity Fair that he hit on his own daughter, Tatum O’Neal, at Fawcett’s funeral.

“I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blond woman comes up and embraces me,” Ryan says in the September issue of Vanity Fair. “I said to her, ‘You have a drink on you? You have a car?’ She said, ‘Daddy, it’s me–Tatum!’ I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it’s my daughter. It’s so sick.”

What’s sicker, Ryan? That you hit on your own daughter OR that you did it at your long time girlfriend’s funeral?

Tatum, on the other hand, commented in the same Vanity Fair piece that she wasn’t surprised at all.

“That’s our relationship in a nutshell,” says the actress, best known for her childhood roles in films like “Paper Moon” and “The Bad News Bears.” “You make of it what you will. It had been a few years since we’d seen each other, and he was always a ladies’ man, a bon vivant.”

Tatum and Ryan hadn’t spoken in many years for various reasons (Tatum’s drug use, Ryan moving in with Farrah, etc.) so it’s nice that the death of a loved one brought them back together. But, who knows how a situation like that will affect their future?
