A New York woman is suing her previous school for $70,000 after citing that she was unable to find a job after the completion of her IT degree. Trina Thompson, the 27-year-old woman who attended Monroe College in the Bronx, is upset that the Career Advancement office did not live up to their previous promises.
The school spokesman Gary Axelbank was shocked to hear these allegations and responded by saying her case was, “completely without merit.”
Although the lawsuit seems like a joke and will be probably be dismissed, it’s nice to finally see these colleges being held accountable for their false promises. No one should expect to get a job with a degree alone, but these colleges should emphasize that fact more often.

This woman is a stupid whiny b!tch!! When I graduated from college in 2004 I could not find a job that I wanted and six months later was working in a meat-packing plant in another state. Not the job I was expecting upon graduating, while working, I continually looked for the type of work I wanted and finally found it almost two tears after graduating. There are plenty of jobs in the country if you are willing to move oh ya and WORK!!

rough times these days ... while it is certainly hard for those with college degrees, it's much, much worse for those without. so yeah, while you might not have jobs lining up to take your resume, at least you have something to put on your resume. this lawsuit will go nowhere

That's hilarious. On what grounds is she suing the college if she is not personally employable?
