Taconic Crash Drunk

FATAL 8 PERSON CAR CRASH TACONIC

Diane Schuler, the woman that killed eight people including herself after crashing her car while going the wrong way on the Taconic highway in New York was both drunk and high. There was a broken Absolut Vodka bottle in the car and medical examiners found 10 ounces of vodka in her system.

Traveling with her 4 year-old daughter and three nieces who were all killed and under the age of 10, Schuler entered the highway going northbound in her minivan. The crash occurred July 26th, but police are still investigating the story. Luckily, Schuler’s 5 year-old son was able to survive, but the oncoming vehicle she hit killed the three people inside.

According to reports, the family of Schuler’s is unwilling to cooperate with police and unresponsive to questioning. Drinking and driving is bad, but to mix that with going the wrong way on a highway is just tragic. But I guess you can say one caused the other.
