The Truth Behind MORE Vanessa Hudgens Pictures
On the eve of her first non-”High School Musical” starring role in the movie “Bandslam,” Vanessa Hudgens found herself smack dab in the middle of a very familiar controversy Wednesday.
A slew of photos showing the singer/actress completely naked surfaced across the Internet again, much like they did in September 2007. At the time, Hudgens came out and apologized about taking the photos. “I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me,” she said when the first naked photos of her were released. “I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos.”
Well, it seems the photos that came out yesterday are from the same time period. Hudgens’ lawyers confirmed to Perez Hilton that the photos were indeed the star, but that they weren’t new. They were taken when the star was still underage and have since been removed from all sites that had them up.
Hudgens, now 20, survived the first scandal and will surely survive this one. She’s already signed to co-star in the R-rated female action film “Sucker Punch” directed by Zack Snyder.
But little Miss Zac Efron has a bigger problem. It’s not that she was young and stupid and took naked photos of herself. Unfortunately, sexting (that’s sex+texting) has become a pretty common thing among the nation’s youth. The bigger question, the one that no one is asking, is who did she send these photos too and who released them days before her new movie came out?
(And, not to mention, on the day I wrote this story about her being a semi-role model for our sister site KidGlue. Thanks a lot mystery man.)
