‘True Blood’ Couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Engaged

On screen, they are a persecuted psychic and vampire, madly in love. In real life, they’re just madly in love.
Us Magazine confirmed that actors Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, who play a couple on Alan Ball’s hit HBO series “True Blood,” are now engaged.
Paquin, 27 and Moyer, 39, first made their relationship public in February but have been dating in private since they first met on an audition for “True Blood.” The show premiered in September 2008.
“The reason it was dodged last year was very intentional on both our parts,” Moyer told Us at the time. “It was very important to me that the cast and crew we were working with didn’t feel it was fickle, and didn’t feel it could possibly potentially encroach on their lives, you know, just like, ‘Oh the two stars are having a thing.’ We didn’t want to take anything away from the show.”
On the show, Paquin plays Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress who falls in love with Moyer’s character Bill Compton, who is a vampire. Over the course of the first season, they become romantically involved even though it’s frowned upon. The show is currently airing its second season.
Moyer has two children from a previous marriage and splits his time between living with Paquin in Los Angeles and a home in London.
